Miz-mouse - RIP (Feb 2010 - April 2019)
Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie)
I have wanted a Sheltie for over 30 years but the dogs that came to share my life wanted (needed) me more and so a Shetland Sheepdog was just a long-standing dream
Then this little baby came into West Yorkshire Dog Rescue and was given to me as a gift.
She was born in February 2010 and was surrended because she made the little boy in the family ill ... so there is no 'history' of anything the rescue usually has to deal with and she can see and hear perfectly well. (When I took her to the vets he wanted to take my temperature as he thought there must be something wrong with me as I had an animal that worked properly - lol)
It's a long time since I have had a pup to train that can see and hear me ... it is hard work remembering what to do - lol
Scotland
Miz took the whole move thing in her stride, as she does everything. While the manic three (Kali, Berezi & now Ali) thunder about the beach she loved nothing better than for her and Sa'di to have me to themselves and a slow meander with just a little paddling if the mood took them.
Now Sa'di has gone to the bridge Kali has filled the space. She has conceded defeat with the two long-legged members of the gang and taken to prefer a stroll and paddle with us even indulging in a bit of play chasing if they both feel the urge.

Therapets - Scotland (Membership no. 3106/2016)
Miz-mouse passed all the tests and is now a registered Therapy Pet ... and to say she loves it, as much as she is loved ... is an understatement.
Age is creeping up on her … (Jan 2019)
Quite suddenly Miz-mouse is looking her age, and by all accounts feeling it. Since she was unwell in the summer of 2018 she has slowed right down. She no longer appreciates long walks, preferring a quick potter down to the beach or a romp across the grass and then home. Her mind is also not what it was. She has a lot of senior moments where she seems to get lost and we have to gently remind her what she is doing. |
Time to Go …
Monday 8th April 2019 we said goodbye to one of the sweetest little dogs we had ever had the privilege of knowing. Run free and happy in the Summerlands sweetheart :)
