So the search has begun ... we will both get there eventually but I wonder who will be first?
There have only been a few breeds that I have said I would love to have ... BC's (naturally), a shelti (had to wait for many years but eventually one came into rescue) but I have always had the notion that in my old age I would have a Pom or a Maltese. However, while I want to down-size, hubbie has his visions set a little larger, he wants an Irish Wolfhound.

Well Christmas came and went with an abundance of goodies, presents and alcohol. Loads of treats and new toys for the Misfits gang which didn't last two minutes (dog-proof toys indeed ... not in this house.) January has seen more rain than is good for anyone. There are floors right across the country and even the grass out the front is water-logged. We also has snow ... this is usually not the case for the seaside due to the salt content in the air but not this year. It was as if someone had scraped out the ice from a freezer compartment it came down so heavily and suddenly everything was white. Everyone hated it and refused to go out further than was necessary to attend to the call of nature.
It can home hard that Kali was no longer with us. She LOVED the snow and would have you out in it for hours throwing snowballs for her and playing chase. I really hope there is some in the Summerlands for her. |
