The time just seems to scoot by with little care for how quickly.
A lot has happened ...
Miz-mouse came to join us.
She is a Shetland Sheepdog (pedigree) who came into the rescue because the unbeknown to the family who got her their little boy was totally allergic to her long hair and ended up in hospital as a result. The breeder didn’t want her back and the family didn’t want her to just go into kennels. WYDR only use foster homes for their dogs and when they were contacted about Miz they knew she would be going no further than her with us.
I have always dreamed of having a Sheltie but I wanted a rescue one and there were always others who needed me more than I needed a pedigree dog, no matter how cute they are.
Miz was quickly upgraded by my grandson who thought her face looked like a mouse ... so she became known as Miz-mouse and now answers to either or both. She came to me at 5 months old and by the time she was six months she had achieved her Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award.
